Being popular on social media sites can also result in receiving a large amount of high quality links which in turn result in better search engine rankings.
The advantages to using social media to promote products are still not realized by many. This is either due to ignorance about the subject as a whole or ignorance on how to go about doing it. But those who do know are currently reaping the benefits of a low cost marketing method that is putting a lot of products and companies on the online map.
